About the Role
Join Superdrug Head Office and make a real difference every day! As a Merchandise Planner, you will ensure that department, business and cross-functional strategies are explored and implemented through category analysis and planning. You will collaborate with and challenge buying teams to make commercially sound decisions relating to stock that maximise sales, margin and income while minimising risk.

Your key responsibilities will include planning the optimal range and assortment by store group alongside the buying team, working with Visual Planners to bring these to life on planograms, preparing key performance reports and ad hoc analyses to aid decision making, and owning the range review process to ensure adherence to critical paths.

You will manage category stock budgets, review and optimise stock quality, manage discontinued lines to minimise margin impact, support strategic direction for space and budget impacts, and set customer-focused merchandising principles ensuring fixtures are right for the category and business guidelines.

Additionally, you will analyse trials and initiatives to provide clear insights and proactively suggest next steps, undertake various tasks to support the merchandising team, and collaborate with departments including commercial, finance, data insights, marketing, supply chain, property and store operations.

You will generate detailed customer-focused initiatives aligned with logistics strategy, listen to customer feedback to implement new ideas improving service both online and offline, and prioritise actions that delight customers and team members.

This role requires adaptability to an ever-changing environment, strong collaborative skills, and the ability to realise strategies and see measurable results. You will play a key role in shaping a customer-first culture and supporting the team to embrace technology and AI effectively while maintaining the human touch in all interactions.
