Experience
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience working with Python
- Practical experience using version control systems like Git and platforms such as GitHub or GitLab
- Experience collaborating with non-technical stakeholders and working with ambiguous business requirements
- Familiarity with unit testing, automated testing, and software development best practices
- Exposure to large codebases involving multiple authors, features, and timelines
About you
- Passionate about software engineering and solving complex regulatory problems
- Comfortable working in agile frameworks such as Kanban or Scrum (desirable)
- Able to contribute to architecture discussions and implement new ideas
- Collaborative team player who values code quality and best practices like TDD and code analysis
- Interested in finance and motivated to learn domain knowledge
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or related field (desirable)
- Experience working with Unix-based operating systems (e.g. Ubuntu) is a plus
- Personal, academic, or internship projects involving scripting, automation, or data handling are advantageous
- Experience improving or refactoring existing codebases as requirements evolve
