About the Role
Thrive is a rapidly growing technology solutions provider specializing in Cloud, Cyber Security, Networking, Disaster Recovery and Managed Services. As a Network Deployment Engineer, you will be a key member of the Thrive Network Deployment team, responsible for deploying network infrastructure and services to new and existing customers. You will work with leading networking solutions including Fortinet and Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco, Meraki and Extreme switching, as well as Meraki and Ruckus wireless technologies to optimize and secure customer environments.
Your role will involve product evaluations, upgrade implementations, network expansion, monitoring, and documentation. You will follow established standards while contributing to process improvements. You will coordinate equipment installation, service testing, and troubleshooting, ensuring successful project outcomes and smooth transitions to support teams. Excellent communication and time management skills are essential as you will liaise directly with customers regarding project plans, impacts, and testing procedures.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of networking and firewall experience
- Proficient with IPV4 protocols, VPN, TCP/IP and Next Generation Firewalls
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with Fortinet, Palo Alto, Meraki, Cisco, Ruckus, and Extreme products
- Experience with Visio for network documentation
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as N-able and Solarwinds is preferred
- Strong troubleshooting skills for network configuration and hardware issues
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects effectively

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree, Technical Degree or equivalent work experience required. Fortinet NSE4 or higher certification is preferred.
