About the Role
Step into something amazing at Superdrug Head Office, a vibrant environment filled with brilliant personalities. As a Product Designer, you will create clear, engaging and accessible digital experiences that meet the needs of our customers while supporting Superdrug's commercial and digital objectives. You will own defined product design projects from understanding the problem through exploration, design, validation, handover and implementation, combining strong UX, UI and interaction design skills with a high level of craft.
You will work closely with the UX & Optimisation Manager, Developers, Business Analysts, Product teams, Trading, Analytics and other stakeholders to deliver polished, scalable and development-ready experiences across our website and mobile app.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning product design projects from problem understanding through to design, validation and implementation
- Translating customer needs, business requirements and insight into user flows, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs
- Designing polished and responsive experiences across web and app, considering hierarchy, interaction states, edge cases and accessibility
- Creating and refining reusable components, patterns and variants as part of Superdrug's digital design system to improve consistency and scalability
- Preparing clear, development-ready designs communicating responsive behaviour, component usage, interactions and key requirements
- Collaborating closely with Developers, Business Analysts, Product teams and other stakeholders to resolve design challenges and ensure effective implementation
- Reviewing implemented experiences and supporting design QA to maintain high quality
- Using customer research, usability testing, competitor analysis, analytics and behavioural insight to inform design decisions and identify optimisation opportunities
- Presenting design work, explaining design decisions and contributing to workshops and cross-functional discussions
- Managing multiple design projects and priorities while delivering work to agreed timelines
Customer focus is key: you will be the voice of customers, inspiring a customer-first culture to build customer love in every touchpoint of our online and offline platform.
Tech & AI: You will help your team understand when to use AI, when to rely on human judgment, and how to combine both.
At Superdrug, we aim to be the best in accessible health & beauty, loved by our customers for value, choice, friendly advice, service and fun. Our success comes from our people - they make the difference. We're all about personality, fun and hard work to deliver That Superdrug feeling.
