About the Role
The Operations Assistant is responsible for the financial management of key client accounts, ensuring that both internal and external client requirements are met while maintaining profitability. Acting as the primary point of contact for all finance-related matters on assigned commissions, you will develop and operate financial and operational management processes that support project performance. The role supports the Finance Lead for the South East, South West and Midlands regions to ensure all monthly financial objectives for operational Directors and Head Office Finance are achieved in line with company policies and deadlines.
Key responsibilities include setting up and maintaining contracts and projects in Dynamics 365, leading forecasting reviews with Project Directors and leadership, analysing variances, maintaining accurate financial data, completing invoices and billing reports, producing finance reports for clients, and responding to financial queries. You will also manage Intercompany agreements, subcontractor purchase orders, client timesheets, support Credit Control with payment queries, and adhere to SOX control requirements where applicable.
Experience
Extensive experience in accountancy or finance roles with strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, invoicing and management accounts. Experience using financial management systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365, and Power BI reports. Proven ability to collaborate and operate within diverse, multicultural, multinational, and multi-partner environments.

Flexible, proactive, and responsive approach. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 is advantageous. Strong understanding of financial processes, mechanisms, and systems (full training on Turner & Townsend systems provided).
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related discipline, or equivalent qualification.
