About the Role
Operations is the heart and soul of everything Amazon does. It is thanks to effective operations that items are processed and dispatched to our customers on time. As an Operations Supervisor in Quick Commerce, you will have the opportunity to see how all the different parts of operations work and play a key role in ensuring everything runs smoothly. You will be the first point of contact for team members during their shift, helping them follow the processes established by your managers. This is a hands-on role that provides experience using the tools and systems that drive operational success.

Your key responsibilities will include measuring and monitoring workflows, tracking onsite performance, and providing important shift information to frontline management to ensure operational excellence across shifts. You will support and train employees to deliver great service and supervise their daily tasks. Additionally, you will assist the Shift/Area Manager with projects aimed at improving processes, cultivating a safe working environment, and increasing workforce engagement. Collaboration with other departments to find solutions for common issues or support needs in key performance areas will also be part of your role. Using data analysis, you will identify opportunities to optimize safety, quality, and productivity.

In a typical day, you will be based at one of Amazon’s operational sites, supporting your Shift/Area Manager to execute the shift plan. This includes leading pre-shift meetings, monitoring adherence to safety rules, quality processes, and daily priorities. You will escalate issues to your manager or, when acting as the most senior person on shift, provide direction to ensure tasks are completed effectively. You will also support shift planning to ensure adequate staffing during peak times.

The Quick Commerce team delivers ultra-fast convenience through a network of small warehouses in city center locations, partnering with last-mile delivery providers to fulfill orders within 30 minutes. The operation combines creative thinking and technological innovation to meet urgent shopping needs, offering a curated selection of grocery items and Amazon essentials. The team operates with a people-first approach, working across morning and afternoon shifts seven days a week. The delivery network primarily uses Amazon Flex partners on e-bikes optimized for rapid urban delivery. The team continuously innovates to improve customer experience, focusing on sustainable delivery solutions while maintaining strict quality and food safety standards. This role offers the chance to work in a collaborative environment that encourages creative problem-solving and continuous improvement, helping to revolutionize convenience shopping through ultra-fast delivery.
