About the Role
Operations is the heart and soul of everything Amazon does. It is thanks to effective operations that items are processed and dispatched to our customers on time. As an Operations Supervisor in Quick Commerce, you will have the opportunity to see how all the different parts of operations work and play a key role in ensuring everything runs smoothly. You will be the first point of contact for team members during their shift, helping them follow the processes established by your managers. This is a hands-on role that provides experience using the tools and systems that drive operational success.
Your key responsibilities will include measuring and monitoring workflows, tracking onsite performance, and providing important shift information to frontline management to ensure operational excellence. You will support and train employees to deliver great service and supervise their daily tasks. Additionally, you will assist the Shift/Area Manager with projects aimed at improving processes, cultivating a safe working environment, and increasing workforce engagement. Collaboration with other departments to find solutions for common issues and support needs in key performance areas will be essential. You will also use data analysis to identify opportunities to optimize safety, quality, and productivity.
A typical day involves supporting your Shift/Area Manager to execute the shift plan, leading pre-shift meetings, and monitoring procedures to ensure compliance with safety rules, quality standards, and daily priorities. You will escalate issues as needed and sometimes act as the most senior person on shift, providing direction to team members. You will also help plan shifts to ensure adequate staffing during peak times.
