About the Role
The Part-Time Manager for Our Place and Our Voice leads Action on Disability’s work on co-production, peer support, campaigning and community engagement. The postholder ensures Disabled people are actively involved in shaping services, influencing policy and strengthening their voice within the local community and beyond. This role coordinates peer-led programmes, develops accessible training and events, and builds partnerships that promote inclusion and representation. Working closely with the Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officer, the postholder ensures that AoD’s values of co-production and Disabled leadership are embedded throughout the organisation.
Main responsibilities include leading, planning and coordinating AoD’s Our Place and Our Voice programmes; developing and delivering accessible training, workshops and events; recruiting, supervising and supporting volunteers, peer facilitators and freelancers; building and maintaining partnerships with local authorities, VCSE organisations, health services and community networks; promoting co-production practice across AoD’s services; ensuring inclusivity and accessibility aligned with the Social Model of Disability; monitoring and evaluating project performance; managing budgets; preparing funding applications and tender bids; ensuring compliance with AoD policies including safeguarding, health & safety and data protection; representing AoD positively at external meetings and events; and working collaboratively with other departments to promote shared learning and inclusive practice.
Some evening or weekend work may occasionally be required. Travel across Greater London will be required with expenses reimbursed according to policy. An enhanced DBS check will be required.
Experience
Experience working with Disabled people and in community engagement or co-production is desirable but not mandatory. Lived experience of disability is highly valued. Experience in managing projects, volunteers or peer facilitators is advantageous.

Qualifications
No specific qualifications are required, but relevant experience and/or lived experience of disability is important. A willingness to undertake training and development as part of the role is expected.
