About the Role
As an Outpatient Clinic Administrator, you will be the first point of contact for patients attending the outpatient department. Your responsibilities include meeting and greeting patients, checking them in and out, and booking appointments efficiently and accurately. You will communicate clearly and professionally with multi-disciplinary teams, patients, their families, visitors, and carers, ensuring everyone is treated with kindness, respect, and dignity. You will register patients on the Trust’s Electronic Patient Records System (EPIC) and assist patients using self-check-in kiosks. Additionally, you will handle outpatient-related queries and provide a courteous, efficient follow-up appointment booking service. You will also resolve appointment booking issues collaboratively with patients, clinical staff, and administrative colleagues to ensure smooth clinic operations.
Experience
Previous experience in a healthcare administrative role or customer service environment is desirable but not essential. Experience with electronic patient record systems is advantageous.
