About the Role
The Paediatric Ward Administrator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of paediatric clinics and ward administration through effective management of clinic flow, appointment scheduling, and patient communication. You will track patient movements and activities using the Epic system, liaise with clinicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care, and manage waiting lists and referral workflows. Your responsibilities include booking patient appointments, diagnostics, and inpatient stays, as well as managing patient correspondence via SMS, letters, and phone calls to reduce non-attendance. You will support clinical teams by managing inboxes, virtual clinics, and clinic templates, while maintaining accurate and timely data entry across multiple systems including Epic, Medicus, PICANet, and Metavision. Additionally, you will assist patients with registration on the MyChart app and ensure data quality and patient demographics are up to date. This role requires strong organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a busy clinical environment to support patient pathways and service delivery.
Experience
Experience working within a clinical or hospital administration environment is desirable. Familiarity with electronic patient record systems such as Epic is advantageous.

You have excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with patients, clinical teams, and external stakeholders. You are proactive in identifying and escalating issues and committed to maintaining high standards of data quality and patient care. Qualifications
Relevant administrative or healthcare qualifications are beneficial but not essential. Proficiency in IT systems and willingness to learn new software applications such as Epic, Medicus, PICANet, and Metavision is required.
