About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Painter and Decorator to join our Facilities Maintenance Team at HMP Feltham. The site comprises two parts: A site, a Young Offenders Institution (YOI) housing children and young people aged 15 to 18, and B site, a Category C prison and YOI holding young people and men up to 30 years old. As part of a supportive and driven team, you will contribute to maintaining a safe and secure environment for prisoners, staff, visitors, and the wider community.

HMP Feltham operates like a self-contained city, and the Facilities Maintenance Team plays a vital role in its smooth operation. You will work alongside skilled colleagues including plumbers, electricians, carpenters, cleaners, and administrators, all committed to making a positive difference.

This role offers the opportunity to use your skills to support rehabilitation and positive change within the prison environment. You will be part of a Ministry of Justice business providing critical, time-sensitive services to Her Majesty's Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS).

Experience
- Proven experience working in a maintenance team
- Significant experience or time served in painting and decorating roles is essential

- Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team

Qualifications
- City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Painting and Decorating or equivalent qualification preferred
- Alternatively, substantial relevant experience in a similar role will be considered
