About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Waiter to join our talented hospitality team at Birchwood at The Conduit, one of London’s leading private members’ clubs. This dynamic role involves working across different areas of the restaurant, including service, hosting, drinks, and guest interaction, ensuring every experience is smooth, welcoming, and memorable. Birchwood at The Conduit, led by chef Will Devlin, is a brand-new cafe and wine bar offering a fresh, ingredient-led approach rooted in seasonality and sustainable sourcing. Expect bold, thoughtful dishes and a space designed for connection in the heart of Covent Garden.
Key responsibilities include providing a warm, professional welcome to guests, delivering attentive and efficient service, taking accurate food and drink orders with allergen awareness, confidently recommending menu items, monitoring and enhancing the guest experience, handling billing and payments accurately, working flexibly across roles (service, hosting, drinks, coffee), supporting daily operations including setup and closing, maintaining clean and organised spaces, collaborating with team members during busy periods, and upholding high standards of hygiene, licensing, and company procedures. You will also contribute to a positive and professional environment aligned with company values.
