About the Role
As a Patient Assistant (Receptionist) at Bromley by Bow Health Partnership, you will be the welcoming face of the organisation, providing outstanding service to patients both in person, over the phone, and through digital communication. Your responsibilities will include managing patient contact, supporting continuity of care, and assisting with administrative duties to ensure smooth practice operations. You will handle sensitive patient, staff, and business information with the utmost confidentiality and professionalism. Core duties involve maintaining a professional and welcoming reception area, processing repeat prescriptions, booking interpreters, managing patient transport requests, and ensuring clinical hygiene standards are upheld. You will actively engage patients to encourage feedback and participation in practice initiatives. Additionally, you will manage appointment scheduling to promote continuity of care, support patient self-management, and signpost patients to appropriate services. The role requires flexibility to cover for team members during absences and may involve working across multiple sites. You will also participate in team meetings, contribute to quality improvement, and take responsibility for your own professional development within the practice framework.

Experience
Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service environment is desirable but not essential. The role requires excellent organisational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
