About the Role
Help make each patient's cancer treatment journey feel organised, clear and supported. We are looking for an organised and caring Patient Support Coordinator to join our Cancer Services team. You will manage referrals and appointments for patients receiving chemotherapy, radiotherapy and haematology care. Working closely with patients, nursing teams, pharmacy, consultants and secretaries, you will ensure treatment plans are organised accurately and on time. You will be an important point of contact for patients, providing clear information and a reassuring service during what can be a difficult time.

Your responsibilities will include supporting patients through the referral and appointment process for chemotherapy, radiotherapy and haematology services; contacting patients within 24 hours of receiving a referral to explain next steps; booking and coordinating appointments to keep treatment schedules accurate and timely; collaborating with nursing teams, pharmacy, consultants, secretaries and other departments to maintain smooth patient care pathways; gathering medical records, images and previous treatment information from other teams and hospitals; verifying insurance approval or self-payment arrangements before booking appointments; entering and maintaining accurate patient information on hospital systems; handling all patient information sensitively and confidentially; and providing a professional, compassionate and reassuring service throughout patient care.

You will join our specialist Cancer Services team, supporting patients receiving chemotherapy, radiotherapy and haematology care. Working alongside clinical and administrative colleagues, you will help keep complex treatment pathways moving smoothly and ensure patients feel informed and supported throughout their time with us.

At The London Clinic, everything starts with our people. Whether at the bedside or behind the scenes, you are part of something bigger, making a real difference to patients and to each other every day. As the UK's largest independent charitable hospital, we care for over 120,000 patients each year. We reinvest our success into services, technology and, most importantly, our people. From developing innovative care delivery methods to supporting continuous learning and career progression, we are always looking ahead.

Based in the heart of London's medical district, you will be part of an organisation delivering care across 234 beds, 10 theatres and a 13 bed intensive care unit. You will work alongside more than 1,300 colleagues and over 700 consultant surgeons and physicians, all united by a shared commitment to high quality, compassionate care. We are proud to be the only independent healthcare provider included in the Top 10 of the Financial Times' UK Best Employers Survey 2026.
