About the Role
Join our Pensions Team at L&Q as a dynamic Pension Manager responsible for overseeing the smooth running of multiple pension arrangements including defined benefit (DB) and defined contribution (DC), private and public, single and multiple employer schemes. This is a varied and fast-paced role involving diverse pension arrangements and multiple stakeholders. You will report directly to the Director of Financial Reporting & Control within a large and diverse Finance Department and work closely with Payroll, HR, professional advisers, and Senior Directors.

Your key responsibilities will include acting as the pensions subject expert, supporting multiple business stakeholders such as recruitment, HR, payroll, financial reporting, and audit teams. You will monitor the performance of professional advisers, ensure risk and control processes are in place, keep up to date with legislative developments and advise on compliance, maintain pensions literature and policies, support pension strategy and implement changes, and communicate with advisers, members, and trustees as required.

Requirements

Experience
- Strong and demonstrable knowledge of UK pension provision across a wide range of pension arrangements
- Experience managing multiple pension schemes
- Experience engaging with and managing professional advisers

- Enthusiastic to work independently or collaboratively with team members, colleagues, and external suppliers
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams effectively

Qualifications
APMI or similar qualification desirable but not essential
