About the Role
Lane Clark & Peacock (LCP) is an award-winning actuarial and analytics consultancy providing advice on pensions, investments, employee benefits, insurance, health and energy. We currently have exciting opportunities for pension administrators with Defined Benefit (DB) experience to join our team.
You will be part of a committed pensions administration team delivering excellent client service across a variety of DB clients, offering a great variety of work. As you develop, you will take on increasing responsibility for your clients, gaining a real sense of client ownership and individual growth as you deepen your pensions knowledge.
This role requires strong organisation skills, an aptitude for numerical work and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. A structured career path and full training programme will be provided to support your development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Broadening your technical knowledge and expertise
- Managing complex cases such as divorce, members with large benefits, tax issues and complex death cases while ensuring adherence to procedures
- Performing and reviewing complex calculations
- Keeping up to date with legislative changes and advising on necessary client communication or practice updates
- Understanding scheme-specific and client-specific conditions
- Contributing to efficiency improvements and departmental initiatives
- Drafting and reviewing complex non-standard correspondence
- Mentoring and training junior colleagues
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years UK Defined Benefit pensions administration experience
- Awareness and understanding of relevant external bodies such as PPF and tPR

Qualifications
- Educated to A level, degree level or equivalent
- Making good progress towards relevant training courses and exams to achieve the Award in Pensions Essentials (APE) and Certificate in Pensions Calculations (CPC)
