Reporting into the People Partnering & Ops Lead, as People Advisor you will play a key role in shaping the employee experience by providing support across the full people lifecycle. You’ll be the go-to advisor for employees and managers, offering guidance on everything from onboarding, probation, and performance to wellbeing, policies, and employee relations. In this role, you’ll combine practical HR know-how with a people-first mindset — ensuring processes run smoothly while building strong, trusted relationships across the business. You’ll also get involved in projects that drive engagement, improve ways of working, and help us create a culture where everyone can thrive.
You’ll love this role if you want to be a part of a close-knit, progressive and people-first team that values fresh ideas, collaboration, and growth.
As a People Advisor you will:
- Support the People Partners and Lead with their client groups, more specifically:
- Employee Relations: With support from the People Partners, provide clear, pragmatic advice on employment law and ER matters, ensuring issues are managed fairly, effectively, and in line with Immediate’s policies and procedures, including investigations, disciplinary meetings and redundancy consultations.
- Support and guide managers on performance matters including probation reviews, informal and formal PIPs, and disciplinary action as needed.
- Lead on all maternity, paternity, and other parental processes, ensuring colleagues feel supported at every stage.
- Lead on flexible working requests, working with People Partners where needed.
- Own the probation process end-to-end, including reminders to managers, guidance on best practice, onboarding surveys, and check-ins.
- Onboarding & Offboarding: Deliver engaging HR inductions for new starters, own exit interviews and new starter check-ins, escalating insights or issues as needed.
- Partner with the People Administrator to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and drive continuous improvement.
- Wellbeing and Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI): Collaborate with People Partnering and the EDI team on initiatives such as training, surveys, feedback sessions, and policies, aiming to drive real cultural change and foster a forward-thinking, inclusive workplace.
- Champion wellbeing initiatives by promoting mental health awareness, encouraging use of EAPs, Mental Health Champions/First Aiders, flexible working, or wellbeing tools.
- Learning & Development: Work closely with the People Partnering and L&D team on development plans, succession planning, talent mapping, and team-specific training needs.
- Be a champion of our coaching and development platform, OpenBlend, encouraging strong engagement across the business areas you support.
- People Administration: Provide support to the People Administrator with key admin tasks including contracts, letters, payroll, benefits management, and HR inbox queries.
