About the Role
LMAX Group is seeking a highly skilled, pragmatic and commercially minded People Business Partner to join our London office and support senior leaders on a global scale. As a senior, trusted advisor, you will partner with leaders and managers across various departments worldwide, translating commercial and operational priorities into pragmatic local people plans. This generalist role spans the full employee lifecycle and is underpinned by strong employment law expertise and a commercial, solutions-focused mindset. You will lead on complex employee relations, employee engagement, and wellbeing initiatives, balancing the needs of senior stakeholders with those of the wider workforce across multiple locations and time zones.

Key responsibilities include strategic business partnering by building credible relationships with leaders, translating business and people strategies into actionable plans, coaching managers to improve leadership and decision-making, and leveraging data and AI tools to influence business outcomes. You will also lead employee relations matters ensuring legal compliance and fairness, build manager capability, and contribute to policy development. Additionally, you will navigate complex stakeholder environments, provide insightful people data, and manage expectations to deliver pragmatic outcomes.

In project and change delivery, you will lead or contribute to initiatives such as restructures, policy updates, and cyclical processes including pay, performance, and engagement cycles. As the lead for Employee Engagement and EDI activities globally, you will develop engagement strategies, organise wellbeing events, and collaborate with global people partners to foster a positive working environment and enhance employee experience through innovative wellbeing initiatives.

Requirements

Experience
- Minimum of 7 years progressive HR experience with a focus on business partnering
- Proven experience as a commercially minded and strategic HR professional, either as an HR generalist or HR Business Partner, operating in a global environment
- Experience implementing companywide Employee Engagement and EDI initiatives, including organising wellbeing events and creating yearly wellbeing calendars
- Essential experience in financial services; fintech or digital assets/cryptocurrency markets experience advantageous
- Proven ability to build and manage relationships with key stakeholders at ExCo level (CEO -1)
- Strong understanding of employment law and regulations across EMEA
- Demonstrable experience managing complex employee relations cases from start to finish
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights
- Familiarity with AI tools, HRIS, and comparable HR systems
- Experience mentoring junior professionals
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Knowledge of data privacy laws such as GDPR

Qualifications
- CIPD Level 7 qualified or equivalent
- Chartered membership of CIPD is desirable
- Global HR experience and exposure to diverse organisational sectors and headcounts is advantageous
