About the Role
We are seeking two People Officers to join the customer-focused, fast-paced, and collaborative People Operations Team at the Serious Fraud Office. Reporting directly to the People Operations Manager, you will support the delivery of end-to-end people services covering the entire employee lifecycle. This includes onboarding new employees, supporting employees through various life events such as promotions, parental leave, and general queries, assisting with payroll, and providing clear guidance for those exiting the organisation.

One People Officer will specialise in onboarding activities, becoming the face of onboarding at the SFO, leading onboarding for new starters, issuing contracts of employment, collaborating with the vetting team, and responding to new starter queries. The other will focus on more generalist work, but both roles offer opportunities to grow and work across all areas within the People Operations team.

The People Operations team provides efficient and effective first-stage support for all people-related enquiries across the SFO. You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, support employee relations case management, assist with payroll collaboration with the Crown Prosecution Services payroll team, and participate in wider People and Culture projects.

This role requires a positive outlook, motivation to deliver high-quality services, and a commitment to supporting continuous improvements in how we work.

Requirements

Experience in people operations or HR support is desirable but not essential. We welcome candidates with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop within a varied and dynamic team environment.

About you

You will be proactive in identifying areas for service improvement and keen to contribute to team projects and initiatives.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion is essential. You should be adaptable and open to working across different areas of People Operations.

Qualifications
No specific qualifications are required; however, relevant experience or qualifications in HR, business administration, or related fields would be advantageous.
