Salary
Actual Salary: £4,797 - £4,865 (one day per week, permanent contract)
Option for Freelance Technician role on an hourly rate between £25-£30 per hour, negotiable depending on experience, based on an ad hoc basis
About the Role
We are seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Performing Arts team to ensure that all Performing Arts teaching and performance spaces are fully prepared, safe, and fit for purpose at all times. The successful candidate will provide technical preparation and support during Drama and Music lessons, rehearsals, and performances as required.
You will be responsible for technical support and expertise for Music and Drama performances, including the movement and setup of sound and lighting equipment, instruments and music stands, operation of technical equipment, construction and scenic design, and provision and maintenance of properties and wardrobe elements.
Additionally, you will manage recording, editing, and digital production of all Music and Drama performances and examinations.
The role includes regular scheduled maintenance, supervision, and operation of all lighting, sound, audio equipment, electronic instruments, and AV systems used for Performing Arts. You will also be responsible for ordering and maintaining stock of supplies such as lamps, gels, gobos, tape, screws, and timber.
Supporting the wider use of Performing Arts resources throughout the school, you will engage fully with the broader demands of the role, including setting up and operating sound and AV systems for school productions, assemblies, concerts, sports day, and other events across the school site.

Experience
Previous experience in technical support for Performing Arts is desirable but not essential. Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are key.
