About the Role
We are seeking a Level 3 qualified Plumber to join our Facilities Maintenance Team at HMP Pentonville, a category B male prison. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will work alongside a diverse team including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to maintaining a safe and secure environment. HMP Pentonville operates like a self-contained city, and our team is committed to ensuring its smooth and safe operation, impacting prisoners, employees, visitors, and the wider community.
This role offers the opportunity to use your skills to contribute to rehabilitation and positive change within the prison environment. You will be part of a supportive and driven team working Monday to Sunday, focused on creating a safe and nurturing atmosphere.

Experience
- Minimum two years' experience working as a plumber or in an equivalent role
- Experience working on commercial or industrial heating and water systems
- Familiarity with Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
- Good working knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements

Qualifications
- Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and Heating), NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent
- Strong Health & Safety knowledge
