About the Role
As a Policy Adviser in Community Wellbeing at Historic England, you will play a key role in shaping policies that support and enhance community wellbeing through heritage. You will work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to develop, advise on, and implement strategies that ensure heritage contributes positively to social and community outcomes. This role offers the opportunity to influence policy at a national level, helping to integrate heritage considerations into broader wellbeing agendas.
Experience
Proven experience in policy development, ideally within community wellbeing, heritage, or related sectors. Experience working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and influencing policy decisions is essential.
About you
You are a strategic thinker with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You have a passion for heritage and its role in community wellbeing and are motivated to make a positive impact through policy work. You are adaptable, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Qualifications
A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline such as public policy, social sciences, heritage, or community development is desirable but not essential. Relevant professional experience will be considered.
