About the Role
Dartford Borough Council is seeking a Policy and Performance Officer to join the Community Development team. In this role, you will advise the Council on relevant government legislation, research policy issues, and produce reports and briefing documents as needed. You will support the development of a new approach to community development across the Borough, including the arts, and contribute to the implementation of the Council’s Corporate Plan. A key part of your role will be to develop the Council’s approach to performance management, consultation, and engagement. You will also ensure the Council meets its duties under equality legislation and safeguarding requirements for children and vulnerable adults. Attendance at regular evening Member-level committee meetings is required. A candidate pack with full details about the role, including the job description, is available upon application.

Experience
- Experience in policy research and development is desirable.
- Ability to produce clear reports and briefing documents.
- Experience in community development or related fields is advantageous.
