About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Innovation Accelerator & Regulatory Science Function within the Science and Research group at the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). The role focuses on leading the development of cross-cutting innovation policy and regulatory pathways that support the safe adoption of emerging medicines, medical devices, artificial intelligence, and other transformative technologies. You will help shape the future regulatory environment to enable responsible innovation while protecting patient safety and public health.

The postholder will play a key role in strengthening the UK's regulatory framework and innovation ecosystem, including evolving the Innovative Licensing and Access Pathway (ILAP) and developing the Regulatory Innovation Corridor (RIC). This role involves managing governance and procedural frameworks, leading policy-based projects, monitoring the broader policy landscape, and establishing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support delivery of projects and initiatives.

The MHRA is implementing a flexible, hybrid working model requiring a minimum of 8 days per month on site, with flexibility up to 12 days depending on business needs.

Experience
- Demonstrable experience managing complex programmes across multiple stakeholders.
- Proven strategic thinking skills with the ability to align delivery with broader system objectives and policy context.
- Experience delivering on policy from defining issues, working with stakeholders, to driving completion.
- Desirable: Experience of the UK health system and/or Life Sciences sector.
