About the Role
In this role you will be managing and supporting a retail property portfolio, which includes London Liverpool Street, Kings Cross and Leeds Station. You will oversee and manage rent reviews, lease renewals and tenant relationships to maximise income for Network Rail whilst enhancing the passenger experience and minimising risk to the operational railway. The role involves negotiating terms, carrying out valuations, liaising with solicitors and stakeholders, responding to tenant queries, monitoring property compliance and conducting inspections. You will identify revenue opportunities, ensure legal and governance requirements are met, and work closely with internal teams, contractors and local authorities to effectively manage the portfolio and protect Network Rail's interests.
This role sits within the Retail function of Network Rail Property, the commercial division responsible for managing Network Rail land and property assets. You will be part of a team of approximately 50 colleagues, collaborating regularly across the wider Retail function, operational teams and other stakeholders to ensure effective portfolio management and achievement of commercial objectives.

Experience
Proven experience in retail asset management with strong negotiation skills.

Proactive and motivated property professional who is an effective communicator with excellent written and interpersonal skills. Able to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders. Comfortable working independently, taking ownership of workload, and contributing positively as part of a collaborative team.
Qualifications
Educated to degree level or equivalent in a property-related discipline. Qualified Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) or working towards MRICS qualification, with MRICS status being advantageous.
