About the Role
Power Resilience is critical to Thames Water's ability to provide safe, reliable services to millions of customers. We are expanding our Power Resilience capability to enhance how power is planned, maintained, and improved across our operations. As a Power Strategy Manager, you will set the strategic direction for the new Power Resilience team, working closely with key stakeholders and the Head of Power to develop a multi-AMP Power roadmap. You will prioritise Power Resilience investment, drive innovation, digitisation, and reporting, and establish a coordinated, data-led approach to managing Power Resilience across Thames Water.

This role is pivotal in creating a single strategic view of Power Resilience, enabling the business to manage power risks through interventions that reduce outages and improve system reliability. You will lead a growing team, shape future ways of working, and contribute to a critical area of UK infrastructure, making a meaningful difference to customer outcomes and environmental protection.

Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing a high-performing team
- Driving strategic initiatives for resilient, compliant, and data-driven power operations
- Enabling real-time visibility and analytics of power-related data
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders such as DNOs, NESO, and Ofgem to influence infrastructure planning and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

Experience
- Senior management experience in utilities or related sectors with a proven track record leading large-scale, multi-disciplinary teams and strategic programmes.
- Strong understanding of regulatory environments and compliance frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and build effective relationships.
- Experience driving digitisation and process improvement initiatives.
- Experience with HV/LV systems and auxiliary power systems (desirable).

About you
- Competent in electrical engineering design or relevant industry experience with the ability to interpret and develop technical documentation and standards.
- Advanced knowledge of digitisation, data management, and analytics.
- Skilled in supplier and contract management.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to approve prepared and reviewed documentation for wider approval.
- Motivated leader with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Qualifications
Relevant electrical engineering or technical qualifications are highly desirable to support competence in the role.
