About the Role
Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity and have previous experience managing a GP practice? Mitchison Road Surgery is seeking a Practice Manager to lead and manage the practice operationally and strategically. The surgery is a friendly and established GP practice committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred care to a diverse local community. You will work closely with the site clinical and operational leads to ensure achievement of targets, delivery within budget, and ongoing development of the practice.
Your key responsibilities will include line management of administrative staff and the clinical rota, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the practice with support from the regional manager and clinical leadership. You will establish effective communication systems within the practice, including regular staff meetings and leadership of the patient participation group. Additionally, you will develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders to deliver a high-quality, value-for-money service to patients.

Experience
Significant experience in people management, appraisals, performance management systems, and dealing with the public/patients. Proven ability to develop and work with teams, manage budgets, and increase income. Good working knowledge of employment law, health and safety, and employment contracts. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.

Qualifications
Degree level certification in a relevant management or finance qualification is required.
