As a Project Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of a diverse portfolio of highways capital projects, managing schemes from initial feasibility through to design, approval, and construction. You will work closely with communities, stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and elected members to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with strategic priorities. You will also oversee project budgets, funding applications, procurement processes, and performance management, ensuring value for money and positive outcomes for residents.

Experience
Experience managing capital projects, ideally within highways, transportation, infrastructure, or a related field. Strong project management, financial management, and budget monitoring skills. Experience preparing reports, business cases, funding applications, and tender documentation. Knowledge of contract management, governance processes, and project delivery best practice.

Excellent communication and engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively with communities, partners, senior managers, and elected members. Proven ability to develop trusted relationships with senior leaders, business partners, and external stakeholders, balancing competing priorities while ensuring strategic objectives are met.
Qualifications
Degree in a relevant discipline, relevant professional qualification, or equivalent level of demonstrable experience in project or programme management.
