About the Role
Hundreds of millions of customers open Prime Video every week, trusting us to help them find something great to watch. Increasingly, they expect us to help them discover title offers, channel and bundle subscriptions that match their interests. Currently, customers face small but compounding frustrations such as repeated declined offers, premature upsells, and generic messaging that ignores their viewing history.

We are hiring a Principal Technical Product Manager to own Commerce Personalization for Prime Video. In this build-and-scale role, you will define what "right offer, right moment, right customer" means at Prime Video scale. You will ship systems that remember customer preferences, respect their journey stage, and earn the right to make personalized recommendations. Your work will be measured by improved customer outcomes proving that respecting customers drives better business results than pressuring them.

Key responsibilities include owning the customer problem end-to-end, defining the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Commerce Personalization across all Prime Video surfaces including homepage, detail pages, checkout, notifications, and partner storefronts. You will eliminate contradictions customers experience today by building coordinated intelligence so that declined offers stay declined, at-risk customers receive content before commerce, and new subscribers are not treated solely as conversion targets.

You will define success metrics and their impact on long-term business goals, solve complex problems others have not, and drive adoption at scale to enable partner content discovery across 30+ countries. You will ship quickly, prove impact continuously, and build conviction through measurable improvements such as reduced repetition, better timing, and higher engagement among at-risk segments.

Working backward from customers to technology, you will partner with Applied Science and ML Engineering teams on reinforcement learning, multi-objective optimization, and unified customer representations, always focused on specific customer outcomes. You will drive organizational alignment by getting multiple teams to optimize shared customer outcomes over local metrics, winning arguments with evidence rather than authority.

The Prime Video Commerce Personalization & Member Experience team sits at the intersection of Prime Video's content experience and commerce engine. We own the models, systems, and product experiences that determine which customers see which offers, when, and how. Our production models include offer propensity, churn prediction, subscription ranking, and cross-offer optimization, serving decisions across every Prime Video commerce surface. We are evolving from siloed model optimization to a unified system coordinating the full customer journey. We partner closely with cross-functional teams across Prime Video to deliver customer and partner value.
