About the Role
Would you like to be part of a team that is redefining the way the UK Government uses the cloud? Amazon Web Services (AWS) is leading the next paradigm shift in computing and the AWS Global Government Delivery Organization (GGDO) team is looking for a motivated Principal Technologist to join our fast-paced organization. The GGDO manages direct Government programmes as part of the Worldwide Public Sector business. In this role you will work directly with customers, partners, and AWS service teams to manage technical and business integration challenges. You will be responsible for driving programme compliance, customer and partner onboarding, and overall adoption of AWS.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud computing, a background in partner and business development, and proven results within the Global Government programme management space. You will think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the skill-set to dive deep and tactically drive business development programs. Excellent communication skills are essential, including the ability to write and convey compelling customer value propositions and articulate technical risks.

As a Principal Technologist in AWS GGDO, you will liaise with AWS service teams to ensure AWS meets technical commitments to customers in named programs, interface with Capture, Sales, and Solutions Architecture teams to provide technical depth to partnership discussions, coordinate matrixed teams from Federal business verticals, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop long-term strategies for AWS delivery in the Federal program space.

The Principal Technologist acts as the programme's primary technical point of contact for customers, leading executive engagement across multiple technical disciplines including cloud security, service and feature roadmap, infrastructure and capacity expansion, and meeting unique contract requirements. You will work across AWS stakeholders including Region Services, Security, Infrastructure, and Sales to ensure technical delivery across contracts.

Our team values work-life balance, offering flexible schedules to support a productive and well-balanced life. We foster an environment of knowledge sharing, mentorship, and career growth, assigning projects that help develop well-rounded professionals capable of taking on complex tasks in the future.
