About the Role
BlackRock is a global leader in investment management, risk management, and advisory services, managing trillions of dollars in assets worldwide. The Legal and Compliance department partners with business teams to develop investment products and solutions that comply with legal and regulatory requirements. We are seeking an experienced private funds lawyer to join the EMEA Legal team, focusing on supporting BlackRock's infrastructure funds and related private markets products.
This role involves advising on the structuring, launch, and ongoing operation of infrastructure strategies across multiple jurisdictions including Luxembourg, Ireland, Cayman Islands, and the United States. You will work closely with investment, product, tax, and distribution teams to support the growth and innovation of BlackRock's private markets business.
Key responsibilities include advising on fund structuring and formation, drafting and negotiating fund documentation, managing external counsel, providing legal support on fundraising and distribution, advising on governance and regulatory matters including AIFMD and SFDR, and supporting the development and scaling of internal processes.

Experience
- Solicitor qualified in England and Wales (or equivalent), typically 5-8 years' PQE
- Strong experience advising on private market funds, with infrastructure exposure preferred
- Familiarity with European regulatory frameworks including AIFMD and SFDR
- Experience managing external counsel
