About the Role
Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS trusts, providing a full range of hospital and community services across south London and specialist care for patients from further afield. The Trust is renowned for clinical excellence, high quality teaching, research, and a strong commitment to patient experience and safety. It is part of King’s Health Partners and works closely with King’s College London to deliver world-leading research and clinical trials.

The Procurement Category Support Specialist will be part of the Procurement Shared Services Team within NHS London Procurement Partnership (NHS LPP), delivering tendering and associated procurement activities for NHS LPP members. This role involves leading end-to-end tendering processes via the Atamis e-procurement portal, advising internal and external stakeholders on the best routes to market to meet their objectives, and supporting the development and delivery of sourcing strategies for non-pay spend.

The post holder will provide professional procurement advice to a range of stakeholders including senior managers and directors within the NHS, as well as suppliers, ensuring compliant procurement processes. A detailed understanding of EU and UK Procurement Law is essential, gained through experience or equivalent academic training.

Main duties include developing and implementing tender activity such as creating Framework Agreements, Dynamic Markets, and running Further Competitions. The role requires maintaining a detailed understanding of NHS LPP member spend through data analysis and benchmarking to inform procurement strategies.
