About the Role
The Partner Solutions Group (PSG) at Hayfin Capital Management is responsible for capital formation, product development, and client service activities. This role supports PSG and firm objectives by maintaining and enhancing relationships and communications with existing and prospective institutional investors. The Product Strategy team leads product development initiatives across the platform, partners with relationship managers on fundraising and marketing, manages investor due diligence processes end-to-end—including due diligence questionnaires (DDQs), requests for proposal (RFPs), and ad hoc queries—and produces investor reporting across Hayfin's funds and SMAs. The Associate will engage directly with current investors and be involved in business development and fundraising efforts. This is a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover position with potential for permanent employment subject to business needs and individual performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and develop marketing and due diligence materials such as PPMs, pitch books, and DDQs alongside the Direct Lending and Private Equity Solutions team
- Build credible working knowledge of Direct Lending and Private Equity Solutions investments, market developments, and dynamics
- Manage product lifecycle from pre-launch to final close, focusing on fund structures, LP negotiations, and competitor landscape
- Assist Coverage team in creating global marketing strategies pre-launch and act as project manager throughout fundraising
- Provide best-in-class client service to existing partners, exercising sound judgement on LP matters
- Liaise across investment, legal, tax, operations, finance, and accounting teams to meet client objectives and enhance experience
- Support day-to-day client communications via email, telephone, and in-person
- Prepare presentations, handouts, analyses, and briefing packs for client meetings
- Participate in and contribute to face-to-face client meetings as needed
- Collaborate with senior team members to develop and maintain project plans for major and ongoing initiatives
Experience
- 2-6 years of relevant experience in the Private Credit industry
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Relevant undergraduate degree in finance, economics, business, or related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel modelling and capable of producing high-quality presentation materials
About You
- Knowledge or interest in Direct Lending and Private Equity Solutions strategies is preferred
- Experience in marketing, sales, or client communication is advantageous
- Technical financial modelling and analysis training and experience is a plus
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Relevant undergraduate degree as noted above
- Additional training or certifications in financial modelling or analysis are beneficial but not required
