Location
Northwood (Mount Vernon Hospital) initially, moving to a new site in Dunstable in the future (expected in 2028).

Hours
Shift-based role, 40 hours per week including Saturday and occasional Sunday work.
Shifts:
Early shift: 06:00-14:00
Day shift: 08:00-16:00 or 09:00-17:00
Night shift: 00:00-08:00

Salary

About the Role
Join Siemens Healthineers Radiopharma and contribute to the manufacture and supply of life-changing radiopharmaceuticals that enable early diagnosis and treatment of serious diseases, including cancer. You will be part of the exciting development of the UK's first 8X Radiopharmacy facility in Dunstable, designed with cutting-edge technology, multiple clean rooms, high-energy cyclotrons, and operational resilience. This flagship site will expand access to PET imaging and support the future growth of theranostics across the UK.

As a Production Chemist, you will ensure radiopharmaceutical production, radiation compliance, Health & Safety, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and licensing commitments are consistently met in a regulated GMP environment. Your responsibilities will include manufacturing radiopharmaceuticals in line with Marketing Authorisations and specials licences, maintaining cleanrooms and equipment, managing stock levels, shipping dangerous goods according to regulations, operating cyclotron particle accelerators, and supporting audits and inspections. You will also collaborate with colleagues to align operational processes and maintain continuous professional development to stay current with legislation and scientific developments related to PET radiopharmaceutical production.

Requirements

Experience
Experience working within a GMP pharmaceutical production environment is essential. Good communication skills including experience in a customer-facing role are required.

You are motivated to work in a regulated environment with a strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety. You are adaptable to shift work including weekends and able to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications
An HND or higher qualification in a physical science or engineering discipline is required.
