About the Role
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulates financial services firms in the UK to ensure markets are fair, thriving, and effective. By joining the FCA, you will play a key role in protecting consumers, driving economic growth, and shaping the future of UK financial services.
The Authorisations Division is vital in financial regulation, assessing applications from firms and individuals to ensure they meet FCA standards. The division oversees the Supervision Hub, FS Register, and Early Oversight, acting as a gatekeeper to maintain market integrity. It ensures firms’ business models are sustainable and individuals demonstrate competence and integrity. The division is undergoing a digital transformation to enhance processes through improved data usage.
The Wholesale Authorisation Management Team is a busy department managing complex applications from firms across six teams.
Key responsibilities include managing diaries and providing administrative support to the Senior Manager and other departmental managers, working closely with a job share partner to ensure smooth handovers, supporting the Head of Department’s PA and wider professional support team, and acting as an ambassador for senior leadership. You will arrange and coordinate meetings and events, handle travel arrangements and expense claims, oversee recruitment administration, and maintain departmental records ensuring compliance with FCA processes.
Experience
- Managing diaries, coordinating meetings, and supporting senior managers with operational tasks
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders and cascading key information
- Experience with onboarding and offboarding processes, maintaining records, and assisting with recruitment administration
