About the Role
The Tech SME team acts as the critical bridge between technology and Last Mile operations at Amazon. As a Program Manager within the AMZL Tech Subject Matter Expert (SME) team, you will leverage your deep knowledge of Last Mile operations and technology to influence business-critical decisions and deliver scalable, high-performance tools for Operations and Transporters. You will lead large, complex programs across multiple marketplaces including EU, NA, and JP, managing initiatives ranging from short-term (~3 months) to multi-year projects. Your role involves analyzing data to diagnose processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and guiding the execution of strategies that optimize operational efficiency and technology adoption. You will coordinate across diverse stakeholders, develop expert-level operational and technical knowledge, and implement high-quality program mechanisms to drive industry-leading change. This role requires balancing speed with quality while advocating for the customer to deliver seamless app-based solutions in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
About the Team
The Tech SME team collaborates across operations, engineering, research science, planning, and software development to solve complex problems and develop cohesive solutions that optimize the AMZL value stream. The team actively participates in deploying, adopting, and executing tools and programs within Last Mile operations, driving innovation and continuous improvement.
Experience
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) and SQL
- Proven experience working cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical teams
- Demonstrated ability to define program requirements and use data and metrics to drive improvements
- Strong background in program or project management
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
- Experience defining and executing program requirements
