Description
We’re a fast growing social enterprise that is incubating innovative new ventures. Our mission is to connect purposeful employers to diverse local talent at scale –creating social and climate impact in the process. We combine digital and in-person delivery to connect disadvantaged local communities to career support, training and good work, in growth sectors like green skills and the built environment sector. We’re now looking for a Programme Lead to join our team. You’ll be responsible for one of the most ambitious and impactful green skills initiatives in the UK. You will be working through a series of high-profile partners to match thousands of jobseekers into good green roles, while accelerating the UK’s transition to Net Zero. And you’ll be in a role with unlimited growth potential. By joining GoodPeople you’ll be a part of a small, purpose driven team that cares about the communities it serves - and allows you to be yourself, develop your skills and have fun 🚀🌱 The Role: As a Programme Lead you’ll be leading the delivery of a large-scale green skills initiative, placing hundreds of people into jobs every year. You’ll be working strategically with our public sector, commercial and education partners to unlock jobs, and connect local talent to these opportunities. These roles will be in key growth areas, particularly around green construction and the built environment – from retrofitting to EV charging, recycling to green spaces. You’ll be leading a small team to work through the supply chains of our programme partners, source opportunities for local people, then work with a range of community organisations to engage and recruit candidates. You’ll also be identifying opportunities to streamline, optimise and automate delivery, including through the use of our tech products. We particularly welcome candidates with lived experience of inequality. The role is hybrid - with 3-4 days per week in our office at Somerset House. You will be reporting to our COO, Joss Hunt. What you’ll be doing: • Working strategically with our employer partners to unlock green job opportunities at scale, both directly and via supply chains. Experience of Social Value delivery would be a plus. •Developing relationships with education bodies and community partners to develop a unique pipeline of talented, under-resourced local residents to place into opportunities •Leading on the delivery of the jobseeker support needed to enable candidates to secure good work, and thrive in their new role. •Being entrepreneurial – by driving forward business development, securing additional partnerships, opportunities and outcomes, overdelivering against programme targets •Scoping and testing opportunities to digitise and automate aspects of our delivery model •Work with the CEO and COO to scope the expansion of the programme to other regions of the UK Our work is focused on supporting diverse communities – and we believe we’ll do our best work with that diversity represented. So we especially want to hear from ethnic minority / global majority candidates, and those with lived experience of inequality. 1) Please send a CV and short cover letter setting out why you are a good fit for this role to [email protected] 2) Following our shortlisting process, we will contact all candidates to let them know the outcome. 3) Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an initial screening interview over Microsoft Teams with one of the team. 4) The final round is an in-person interview with our CEO and COO, which will include a relevant task for you to complete (don’t worry, we’ll send this to you beforehand).
Requirements
•6+ years’ experience in recruitment and/or employability roles •(Preferred) Experience working at a senior level with large employers and their supply chains/contractors - especially in the built environment and green sectors. •Direct experience delivering job outcomes at scale – with hands-on recruitment experience delivering large recruitment/employability programmes •Experience leading large scale and fast-moving programmes, delivering above and beyond targets, and measuring and reporting on performance against KPIs. •Strong business development and partnerships experience, with a live and relevant existing network of potential partners •Demonstrated ability to establish, optimise and semi-automate processes where possible. •To be proactive, adaptable and a self-starter, and be comfortable both working independently and as part of a team. • To be purpose driven, and passionate about social and climate impact!
Benefits
• Salary of £60,000 - plus additional uncapped target-based commission • Flexible/hybrid working from our lovely office in Somerset House • A MacBook Pro • 25 days holiday pro rata • A yearly flexible training and development budget • Healthcare provision and 24/7 access to a GP
