About the Role
Laing O'Rourke are recruiting a Project Engineer (Site Agent) to join one of our infrastructure projects. This role involves utilising Digital Engineering models to create Visual Method Statements and Visual Task Sheets, demonstrating confidence in sharing this knowledge with team members. You will fully implement and ensure compliance with the Laing O'Rourke Management of Temporary Works procedure, explaining these processes to others as required. The role requires determining the most appropriate methods of dimensional control, consulting specialists when necessary, and ensuring setting out data is controlled and accurately transferred from 3D CAD data. You will define the scope of as-built surveys and reports to demonstrate compliance, produce and ensure Implementation Test Plans (ITPs) are available and implemented, fully addressing specification and contractual obligations. You will ensure adherence to project and company quality procedures, utilise and recommend best engineering methods, apply design process knowledge, produce and approve method statements and risk assessments, manage procurement activities, and lead a team of engineers.

Experience
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or an industry recognised technical or engineering qualification (e.g. HNC, HND, NVQ level 4)
- Demonstrable experience in a construction delivery environment
- Experience working on large-scale building or infrastructure projects
- Temporary Works experience

Confident in using digital engineering tools and able to communicate procedures effectively to team members. Strong leadership skills to manage a team of engineers. Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and compliance. Proactive and able to recommend best engineering methods.
Qualifications
Degree or equivalent technical qualification in Civil Engineering or related field. Relevant industry recognised qualifications such as HNC, HND, or NVQ level 4 are acceptable.
