About the Role
The Project Manager will be responsible for financially appraising and managing housing development schemes from inception through to on-site delivery and the end of the defects rectification period. This role involves overseeing scheme progress with regular site visits, attending site meetings, snagging, handover, and defects inspections. You will prepare and submit grant claims to the GLA and other funding bodies, monitor expenditure and budgets, and report financial forecasts and key events to senior management. The role includes assisting with proposals and bids, reviewing project and contractor performance, ensuring compliance with Employer’s Requirements and contract drawings, and maintaining project risk registers. You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders, instruct architects and consultants as needed, and ensure all statutory consents and funding requirements are met. The role requires preparing reports for senior leadership and committees, managing relationships with funders and local authorities, and supporting the resolution of latent defects. All duties must be carried out in line with Hexagon Housing Association’s Equality & Diversity and Health and Safety policies, maintaining high standards of probity and confidentiality.
Experience
- Proven experience in project management within housing development or a related field.
- Experience overseeing construction schemes, financial monitoring, and grant claim submissions.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders including contractors, consultants, funders, and local authorities.
