About the Role
Laing O'Rourke is delivering the Letchmore Heath Substation project, helping to strengthen the UK's electricity infrastructure and support growing energy demand. This is a nationally significant energy project where you will play a visible, hands-on role in helping teams deliver work right first time, improving standards and supporting a culture of pride in delivery. You will act as the quality lead for a defined area or package of works, partnering with engineers, supervisors and supply chain teams to embed quality into everything we do. This role goes beyond compliance, offering the opportunity to influence how quality is delivered, not just inspected, within a collaborative and forward-thinking site team. You will carry out site inspections and assurance activities, review and support documentation such as Quality Plans, Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and Method Statements, and support the management and close out of defects and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs). You will also contribute to fostering a strong, positive quality culture on site and use digital tools such as Field View and Asite to support the golden thread of quality assurance. This role offers excellent opportunities to grow your career in the power sector and make a tangible difference to the delivery of critical infrastructure.
