About the Role
The Project Quantity Surveyor will support our Project Team in the commercial aspects of our business. The successful candidate will come from a Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) contracting background and be able to work at all levels, from client through to our subcontractor supply chain, ensuring risk reduction on terms and conditions, managing cash flows on projects, and overseeing final account payments. Key responsibilities include reviewing and approving contract terms, managing commercial correspondence, and working with legal counsel where required. You will attend site meetings for contractual discussions and advise on project issues, value variations, monitor project performance, and interpret project documentation to identify opportunities and risks. Additional duties involve preparing monthly reports including Job Costing Reports (JCRs), placing procurement orders in a timely manner, demonstrating expertise in dispute resolution and risk management, assisting in supply chain improvements through commercial audits, producing cash flows, ensuring correct notices are issued as per contracts, collaborating with Project Managers and Engineers, placing supplier and subcontractor orders, preparing and submitting client applications, reconciling reports, and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

Experience
Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in managing mechanical engineering projects, preferably in the energy or power industry. Strong background in Mechanical and Electrical contracting. Sound knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, practices, and industry standards. Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering. Professional project management certification (e.g., PMP) is preferred but not essential.
