£57,094 to £63,032 per annum dependant on experience plus £1,300 essential car user allowance
About the Role
Join the Commercial Team at London and Quadrant Housing Trust (L&Q) as a Project Quantity Surveyor within the Property and Investment Services Commercial team, Estate Services. You will be responsible for the financial and contractual management of works delivered by L&Q, ensuring all quantity surveying activities meet the highest professional standards. The role focuses on securing and maximising L&Q's contractual and commercial entitlements, providing robust cost control, accurate financial reporting, and effective contract administration.
As a Project Quantity Surveyor, you will take full ownership of your work stream, supporting budget preparation, cost forecasting, financial reporting, and service charge management. You will manage subcontractors and suppliers to achieve best value while protecting the business contractually and delivering accurate financial forecasts. You will also contribute to continuous commercial process improvements and support the delivery of annual commercial strategies.
L&Q Estate Services delivers high-quality environmental and neighbourhood services including grounds maintenance, cleaning, arboriculture, estate inspections, and environmental enhancement works. Experience
- Extensive quantity surveying experience with proven ability in managing principal and subcontractor arrangements
- Experience in financial and contractual management of projects
- Strong analytical and data interrogation skills
- Competent in cost value reconciliation and use of standard methods of measurement including NHF SoR’s
- Confident in managing poor performance both internally and externally

- Commercially aware with good legal and contractual knowledge
- Able to identify and provide mitigation strategies for contract and subcontract matters
- Confident supporting operational colleagues and managing subcontractors to achieve best value
- Strong numeracy and forensic cost control skills
- Able to contribute to continuous commercial process improvement and delivery of commercial strategies
Qualifications
- Degree or HNC level qualification in a related discipline or equivalent substantial experience
- Professional qualification such as CIOB or RICS membership is desirable but not essential
