About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Temporary Accommodation Team within the Private Sector Leased (PSL) scheme. We are looking for a candidate with excellent customer service, negotiation, and partnership skills to recover PSL tenant repair recharges. This role offers a blended working style, including remote work, fieldwork, and office duties. You will collaborate with the Repairs, Income Management, and PSL Management teams to ensure evidence-based recharges are applied to customers.
Your responsibilities will include acting as the main front-line link between tenants, the Council, and its partners in recovering debt, as well as directing tenants to relevant agencies to prevent and manage debt. You will raise awareness of tenant recharges across various platforms, monitor current recharge arrears, and decide on actions to progress each case based on individual circumstances, balancing the tenants’ needs with the best interests of the Council.
You will conduct interviews and home visits for arrears recovery, promote payment plans and methods, track payment progress, and provide accurate data and reporting to the Homeless Accommodation Manager.

Experience
Experience in customer service and debt recovery is preferred.
