We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual to lead on the development and delivery of a public health portfolio, focused on improving population health outcomes, reducing health inequalities and inequities and improving care across South West London. This exciting new post results from a partnership between the NHS South West London Integrated Care Board (ICB) (part of the South West London Integrated Care System (ICS)) and the University of Roehampton.
The post holder is expected to play a key role in mapping public health needs and priorities in South West London, leading on collaborations with local partners within and outside the South West London ICS. They will be responsible for developing collaborations and engaging external organisations in the field of population and public health research, while building on existing networks to foster meaningful communication between researchers and local health practitioners.
We are looking for someone fully committed to making a significant contribution to public health and wellbeing, who has outstanding analytical and research skills; understanding of the local health research economy, and knowledge of the research funding environment, both in the UK and internationally. The post holder will need to demonstrate outstanding communication skills, capacity to convey highly complex information to diverse audiences, and capacity to work collaboratively and proactively with a wide range of staff and partners.
The post holder will be based at the University of Roehampton, while working very closely with the ICB and ICS. The University has a beautiful, vibrant parkland campus, is located in the heart of south-west London and offers excellent facilities for researching, learning, teaching and working.
