About the Role
As a Software Engineer in the Model Risk Governance & Review (MRGR) team at JPMorgan Chase, you will develop tools to improve efficiency and reduce duplication of effort, including resource management and cost optimization solutions. You will support model reviewers and governance teams by building independent testing and efficiency tools, delivering high-quality solutions with a strong emphasis on data controls and testing. You will continuously seek user input to align development efforts with business objectives.
Your responsibilities include building data pipelines to fetch, validate, transform, and deliver data for reliable analytics, automation, and reporting. You will integrate ongoing performance monitoring requirements for models into business applications, primarily using Python and in-house frameworks. Leveraging developer productivity tools such as GitHub Copilot, you will accelerate delivery, improve code quality, and enhance documentation and testing.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for Large Language Model (LLM) integration and develop intelligent solutions to support MRGR staff activities, including workflow automation and insight generation, will be key. You will apply enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity, while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.
You will also apply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) toolchain, including AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to maximize the value realized by automation.
