Remote (within +/-2 hours London timezone) with frequent trips to London. This role requires spending at least one week per month in London with the team from day one, and openness to potential relocation to London.

Hours
Full time, flexible hours aligned with team collaboration and project needs.

Salary
$90,000 - $110,000 plus meaningful equity.

We are seeking a senior QA Engineer to join as the second member of our QA team. You will work closely with our current QA engineer to expand and mature our quality assurance function. Your key responsibilities will include improving quality control processes, reducing defects, and delivering an exceptional experience for our members.

Requirements

Experience
- Proficiency in manual testing across web, mobile applications, and APIs with strong attention to detail validating user journeys, business logic, integrations, and edge cases.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining API test automation frameworks using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
- Strong understanding of API contracts, data validation, authentication mechanisms, and testing complex workflows spanning multiple stateful calls.
- Experience building and maintaining automated test suites for web applications using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar.
- Proven ability to design and maintain automated tests for non-deterministic workflows such as AI/LLM-driven features, agentic workflows, async pipelines, or event-driven systems.
- Comfortable defining oracles, tolerances, and stability strategies (retries, snapshots, semantic assertions) where exact-match assertions do not apply.
- Excellent documentation skills with a passion for creating and maintaining clear, comprehensive documentation.
- Strong prioritization skills, focus, and productivity without compromising quality.
- Adaptable and proactive with a can-do attitude in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Bonus points
- Experience with mobile automation tools such as Appium, Espresso, or XCUITest.
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices and contributing to QA pipelines.
- Exposure to LLM/agent evaluation frameworks like LangSmith, Braintrust, Promptfoo, DeepEval, or similar for measuring quality of non-deterministic outputs.
