About the Role

We are looking for qualified Carpenters to join a permanent team working across Walthamstow and the surrounding area.

This is an immediate requirement for experienced carpenters who can work independently and deliver high-quality carpentry work. The role offers either a day rate or price-work arrangement, depending on experience.

Important to Know

• Level 2 Carpentry qualification required

• Blue Skilled CSCS Card required

• Proven professional carpentry experience required

• £5 million Public Liability Insurance required

• If you are not a British citizen, you must be able to provide an HMRC Share Code

• Immediate availability is preferred

• Candidates must be reliable, professional and able to work independently

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out carpentry and joinery works to a high standard

• Complete repairs, installations and other carpentry works as required

• Read and work from drawings, specifications and instructions

• Measure, cut and install timber and other materials accurately

• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively

• Work independently while maintaining high standards of workmanship

• Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment

• Follow relevant health and safety requirements

• Communicate professionally with supervisors, colleagues, clients and residents where required

• Complete work within agreed timescales and to the required specification

Essential Skills, Experience & Qualifications

• Level 2 Carpentry qualification

• Blue Skilled CSCS Card

• Proven hands-on experience as a qualified Carpenter

• Strong practical carpentry skills

• Ability to work independently

• Good understanding of site health and safety

• £5 million Public Liability Insurance

• Right to work in the UK

• Experience working on housing maintenance or refurbishment projects

• Experience with a range of first and second fix carpentry
