About the Role

Join us as an RCN Officer and use your positive attitude and knowledge of health and care issues to deliver best practices in employment practices, influencing, and negotiating on behalf of our members. You will manage your own portfolio of casework, assisting and representing members with employment-related issues. Your primary role will be to take care of our members while also suggesting innovative approaches to support and grow our membership. You will need to advise and represent our members on matters related to employment, professional practice, and education. A background in health and social care or experience in supporting individuals with work-related issues is ideal, but transferable skills from other professional roles such as human resources and legal services are also valuable. We offer a robust induction and development plan to support your transition into the role. Strong communication skills, the ability to challenge and negotiate, and a customer-focused approach are essential for success in this position.

Experience
Experience in health and social care or supporting individuals/groups with work-related issues is preferred. Transferable skills from human resources or legal services are also valuable.

You are efficient, accurate, and demonstrate a real customer focus in all you do. You possess good communication skills and can work effectively with a range of stakeholders across various health and care settings.

Qualifications
No specific qualifications are required, but a background in a relevant area is advantageous.
