About the Role
Oasis Academy Shirley Park Primary is seeking a professional, organised and personable Admin Officer with Attendance & Reception responsibilities to join our friendly and committed team. This varied role combines front-of-house reception duties with attendance administration and wider school office support. You will be the first point of contact for parents, pupils, visitors and external agencies, helping to create a warm, welcoming and professional environment for our school community.
Key responsibilities include managing the school reception and welcoming visitors, answering telephone and email enquiries professionally and efficiently, maintaining pupil attendance records and monitoring daily attendance, following up absence and lateness with parents and carers, producing attendance reports and supporting attendance improvement initiatives, managing visitor sign-in procedures and safeguarding protocols, supporting admissions, pupil records and general school administration, assisting with communications, correspondence and office organisation, and providing administrative support to leaders and teaching staff as required.

Experience
Experience in a busy front-office environment is desirable but not essential. Previous experience in administration, reception or attendance monitoring will be advantageous.
About You
You will have excellent customer service and communication skills, be highly organised with strong attention to detail, and able to remain calm and professional in a busy environment. You should have good IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Office, and be able to build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues. An understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding is essential.
Qualifications
No specific qualifications are required for this role, but a professional attitude, reliability and a commitment to the welfare of children and young people are essential.
