About the Role
At University Schools Trust (UST), we believe that talent drives innovation and success. We are seeking a Recruitment Coordinator to support the Recruitment team with all aspects of recruitment administration. You will assist across the full recruitment cycle, selection process, and onboarding, ensuring a first-class candidate experience that is efficient, professional, and informative.
Reporting to the Recruitment Manager, your responsibilities will include recruiting high-quality teaching and support staff for short, long-term placements and permanent roles across our schools. You will support attracting candidates aligned with the Trust’s growth aspirations and act as the first point of contact for candidate and other recruitment-related queries via email, phone, or in person, providing timely and useful information.
You will coordinate the candidate selection process by arranging interviews, sending confirmations, compiling interview paperwork such as tasks and questions, and corresponding with candidates regarding application outcomes. Additionally, you will update statuses on the recruitment system and manage interview notes and feedback from academies.
Supporting the management of recruitment contracts and subscriptions to ensure best value for money will also be part of your role. You will collaborate with the Recruitment team and wider UST staff on various projects and regularly liaise with UST Executive, Headteachers, and Senior Leaders.
This is an on-site role due to the nature of the responsibilities involved.
Experience
- Demonstrable and successful management of recruitment queries
- Experience working in a fast-paced and unionised school or education environment
About you
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and maintain professionalism
- Knowledge of current employment legislation, relevant education regulations, and good practice approaches related to schools
- Understanding of the safer recruitment process
Qualifications
- Minimum Grade C in English and Maths GCSE or equivalent
